Karen has over 25 years of experience working with brokers and clients in financial services, principally in the mortgage & property sector at both residential & commercial levels. She built out the specialist commercial mortgage proposition at Commercial First and sat on the Exec Committee at Shawbrook Bank in her role of Managing Director, Commercial Property and was one of 3 Founding partners of LendWell Ltd, a specialist Bridging, Refurbishment & Development Lender.
Her knowledge of the sector is extremely broad and she is passionate about delivering products that aid property investors and developers alongside delivering an exceptional service that builds repeat relationships.
KAREN BENNETT
Stephen is a qualified chartered accountant, who initially worked in the corporate finance advisory sector.
He began his career in the Property Finance sector in 2002 as one of the founding executive management team at Commercial First, a pioneering commercial mortgage lender. In 2011 Stephen was one of the founding executives at Shawbrook Bank and went on to lead their Property Division whilst also supporting the wider business as Deputy CEO and was part of the team that managed the 2015 float onto the stock market. Stephen left Shawbrook in 2018 and participated in a number of property development projects before re-entering the lending market in 2019 as one of 3 Founding Partners at LendWell, a specialist lender serving property developers and property investors.
Stephen has over 20 years of through the cycle lending pedigree in the Property Finance market as well as first-hand experience as both a property developer and investor.
STEPHEN JOHNSON
Jenny has worked in financial services in various roles, including her role as a Senior Lending officer at Shawbrook Bank and most recently, Operations Manager at LendWell Ltd. Jenny has a wealth of knowledge and experience in all areas of property finance operations and is a key influence from initial enquiry all the way through the life of the loan, until redemption.
She is focused and determined to provide the best customer service in the most time efficient way.
JENNY BARHAM
Ed has been involved in property since 2013 and has been working in financial services for 9 years, the majority of which was for Shawbrook Bank where he was underwriting manager for the bridging team, although throughout his time at the Bank had experience assessing a mixture of specialist BTL, commercial & bridging applications. Most recently Ed working as a Credit Manager at LendWell, underwriting Bridging, Refurbishment and Development Loans.
Ed's calm ingenuity adds so much value to transactions.
ED DREW
James brings over 7 years of experience in financial services to the team, with a background in various finance roles at Shawbrook Bank, working with a Private Fund and most recently at LendWell, a specialist bridging, refurb and development lender. All positions have involved managing financial statements and records with his most recent role also including Financial Planning. He is an Excel expert and has recently further enhanced his Analytical skills with PowerBI training.
He is already AAT Qualified and is currently an ACCA student, working diligently to obtain his qualifications.
Whilst focused on supporting the client facing team members, James takes a keen interest in all the projects and enjoys seeing Developers and Investors succeed and is always on hand for the team when a solution requires a bespoke financial structure!
